About the designer:
Carl-Harry Stålhane (1920–1990) was one of the most important ceramicists and designers in 20th-century Scandinavian ceramics. He worked for decades at the Swedish factory Rörstrand, where he developed an elegant and understated style that became highly representative of postwar Nordic design. His pieces are known for their simple, balanced forms and glazes in earthy tones with subtle nuances. In addition to creating production series, he also produced unique artistic ceramics that are now highly valued by collectors and galleries specialising in mid-century Scandinavian design.
