About the designer:

Hertha Bengtson (1917-1993) is one of the best known representatives of the illustrious Swedish ceramic design of the 20th century. She was one of the leading designers at the Rörstrand factory in the 1950s. Bengtson is represented in the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.
