Functional Art Sculpture Chair by Jacquline Morabito, 1990s
Sold GA001048
Sculptural chair in steel, with bronze welds made by the French architect Jacqueline Morabito, signed at the bottom. France, 90’s
This unique chair has a structure made of steel, a material that we associate with industrial production that the designer counteracts with the manual construction of the chair, as well as slender and delicate lines and proportions. What stands out the most in this piece is the emphasis given to the welds, which take all the attention and cease to be something merely functional to become the fundamental decorative element thanks to the use of the noble material, bronze, that they have been made of.
