”Filigran” series Vase by Stig Lindberg

Vase with black and white striped decoration designed by Stig Lindberg for Gustavsbergs, Sweden. Stig Lindberg designed the “Filigran” (Filigree) series in 1951 for the Gustavsberg factory. The stoneware series consisted of four bowls and two vases with streamlined shapes and a matte white glaze. Each model could have different geometric decorations.

Stig Lindberg (1916-1982) is one of the most renowned representatives of the illustrious Swedish ceramic design of the 20th century. He is known for his constant creativity and his exceptional eye for shapes, proportions and motifs. Lindberg is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.
