Table lamp designed by Nils Thorsson for Royal Copenhagen. 1960s.
This lamp consists of a square base foot decorated with the most recognizable motifs of the ceramist and designer; Mythological animals, flowers, geometric motifs etc..

Condition:
This lamp is in perfect state of conservation, but could present some mark of the passage of time. The lampshade has been renovated in matte white cotton and the electrical system works perfectly.
About the designer:
Nils Thorsson trained at the Copenhagen Technical College before joining Royal Copenhagen as an apprentice. He became one of the leading designers at the Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Factory from 1912 to 1975, working with typically Danish simplicity and functionalism. With great versatility, he was also the most prolific designer of painted motifs for their faience products.
