About the designer:

Pierre Forssell (1925–2004) was a Swedish designer and silversmith known for his brass work for the Skultuna manufactory, where he worked from the 1950s through the 1980s. Trained at the prestigious Konstfack School of Arts in Stockholm, Forssell stood out for his functionalist approach and his preference for pure, geometric forms characteristic of postwar Scandinavian design. His objects combine industrial precision with understated elegance, transforming brass into a warm and contemporary material. Today, his pieces are considered icons of mid-20th-century Swedish design.
