About the Designer:
Poul Cadovius (1911–2011) was a Danish designer and manufacturer, widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in post-war Scandinavian design. In 1945, he founded Royal System and, a few years later, revolutionized furniture design with the introduction of the Royal System wall-mounted modular shelving system (1948), considered one of the first suspended storage systems. His designs are characterized by functionality, versatility, and the use of fine woods such as teak and rosewood, making them iconic examples of mid-century Danish design and highly sought after by collectors around the world.
