About the designer:
Walter Heufelder was a German ceramicist and designer active during the second half of the 20th century, known for his stoneware and glazed ceramic pieces associated with the “West German Pottery” movement. His works are distinguished by their sculptural forms, richly textured glazes, and the earthy, volcanic tones characteristic of German ceramics from the 1960s and 1970s. Heufelder collaborated with various German workshops and manufacturers, creating vases and decorative objects with a strong visual presence, now highly appreciated by collectors of mid-century design and European studio ceramics.
