About the designers:
Torben Valeur and Henning Jensen were Danish designers who collaborated throughout the 1960s and 1970s, creating furniture defined by clean lines and functional forms in the Scandinavian design tradition. Their pieces, produced by Danish manufacturers such as Niels Eilersen, are distinguished by the use of fine woods including teak and rosewood, high-quality craftsmanship, and a restrained aesthetic that emphasizes comfort and the natural beauty of the materials. Although their work remained less widely known than that of some of their Danish contemporaries, their furniture is now highly regarded by collectors and enthusiasts of mid-century design for its timeless elegance and exceptional craftsmanship.
