About the designer:

Ib Kofod-Larsen was one of the leading Danish designers of the Danish Modern movement. Trained as a cabinetmaker and architect, he began his career in the 1940s and gained international recognition throughout the 1950s and 1960s for his furniture, characterized by elegant lines, balanced proportions, and meticulous attention to ergonomics. He collaborated with renowned Scandinavian manufacturers such as Faarup Møbelfabrik, Christensen & Larsen, and Selig in the United States, helping to establish Danish design as a major influence in the international furniture market.
