1940´s swedish round center table “Berg” in birch and birch veneer by Carl Malmsten with a sculpted tripod base and remarkable table top in birch. Fully refinished.
Carl Malmsten was a Swedish architect and designer, known by his works devoted to traditional Swedish handcraft (slöjd) opposed to the mainstream functionalism. He considered that the traditional role of the home as an intimate space to rest was mined by the progressive functionalism.
