This design features a curved shape that reminds us of nature itself. The designer uses simple lines and a thoughtful sense of proportion that make this piece a perfect example of the best Mid-century modern. The decorative buttons emphasize the winged shape of the backrest which has been carefully reupholstered in natural sheepskin.
Erik Bertil Karlén was a renowned Swedish architect. He was very productive during the 1940s and, as many of his contemporaries, he was very dedicated to furniture design and it was his seats the most outstanding pieces among his designs.
