Side table by Axel Larsson, Sweden, 1940’s
Ref.: GA020070
Side table in teak wood designed by Axel Larsson for Bodafors, Sweden, 1940s.
This small side table features an elegant, simple structure in a purely Mid-century style. Its design continues to refine modernist principles while incorporating more sophisticated elements: soft lines and gentle curves that bring back a sense of organic form. This is especially visible in the curved accents at the sides and in the subtle tapering of the legs, which gives the tray-like top a light, almost weightless appearance. The use of teak wood elevates the piece, allowing it to stand out and enhance any space.
Condition:
Very good vintage condition. The table has been carefully restored, though it may show minor signs of use and age.
Dimensions:
60.5 × 46.5 × 51.5 cm
